The Berkshire Hills Chorus was founded in 1969 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. We are a chapter of SingUnited International (formerly Sweet Adelines International), which is a worldwide organization of singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performances. Our chorus is a part of SingUnited Region 1.
The Berkshire Hills Chorus brings together singers of all ages to share our very unique chord-ringing style of a cappella barbershop choral music. We perform challenging and fun music throughout the communities of Berkshire County, as well as in Regional Competitions through SingUnited International. The members of the Berkshire Hills Chorus encompass a diverse range of ages and backgrounds.
Our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower women through the art of barbershop harmony - fostering musical excellence, personal growth, and joyful connection with our audiences and one another. Our members come from across the Berkshires and beyond, united by our love of music, community, and lifelong learning. We are always looking for new members, so come join us!
